At the start of this project, , my brain just automatically told me that i should go for the penguin book design and work on a project that i could incorporate my illustrations onto a front cover of a book.
So i kind of decided in my head that, this is it and just get on with it, i think this is why its taken me so long to really get my arse in gear this week.
Just out of curiosity, i went and had a look at what was available on the D&AD new blood competitions this year.
As soon as i saw that body shop had a submission i was immediately interested.
I will be honest with you in the fact of that this blog started off as a beauty blog. Im a true girl at the heart of all this art stuff and love all thing in the beauty industry and love talking about it.
It just felt right to see where a bit of research might take me, and in looking at the project brief, yes the project does seem very out of my comfort zone, I've only just recently started picking up on how to use the softwares and i am by no means a graphic designer but i think thats kinda perfect for the body shop. I have a basic knowledge for all those factors and a real passion for the company and i think my drawing style would work really well with their outlook and visual language the company has.
So, i know this is different but bare with me!
I refuse not to have some fun for my last term at uni and i really think this will be new and interesting for me and good fun!
Update Soon!
